Metal Fabrication Shop. Do you have prior experience as a skilled machine operator or running a Laser cutter? Are you someone who loves a 3-day work week every week? There are positions open on a daytime shift in Chippewa Falls working as a Laser Machine Operator.
 
POSITION – Laser Machine Operator
JOB LOCATION – Chippewa Falls, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – Day Shift (6am-4:30pm, Mon-Thurs, OT may be required)
STARTING PAY – $18.00-23.00/hr DOE

EDUCATION– HS Diploma or equivalent required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 1 to 3 years related experience in a metal fabrication setting; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
The Laser Operator will be responsible for set-up to ensure proper cutting operations, detecting any defective material, and perform quality inspection checks.
 
Responsibilities
Conduct standard laser cutting operations.
Select appropriate cutting programs and fixtures.
Set up equipment properly for cutting tasks.
Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized, adhering to safety procedures.
Perform quality inspections according to the quality control plan, including documenting results.
Identify various materials, including Aluminum, 5000 series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Grip, Galvanneal, and Galvanized.
Embrace and promote continuous improvement in Safety and Quality standards and procedures.
Comply with the site attendance policy.

Provide assistance in other work areas as needed.
 
 
Qualifications
Read and understand basic instructions, brief communications, and memos. Write clear, simple correspondence.
Perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Show reliability through consistent attendance.
HS Diploma or equivalent
