Education Research Program Coordinator (Part-time)

The University of Wisconsin-Stout College of Arts and Human Sciences (CAHS) is seeking a uniquely qualified individual who is interested in our new 12-month part-time (50%) Education Research Program Coordinator position. This individual will be responsible for leading, planning, and coordinating the administrative, operational, outreach, and promotional activities related to work of the Q Endowed Chair, working on cross-disciplinary projects that may be collaborative and/or independent. The work will involve collaboration with other units on campus such as the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, Continuing Education and Conferences, and Marketing Communications. The position will report to the CAHS dean or dean designee.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum / Required
 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent personal communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups                       
  • Excellent database management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience creating digital media
  • Ability to manage many tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Ability to work in time-compressed environment
  • Ability to work independently
 
Highly Desired/Preferred
 
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in Career and Technical Education
  • Educational research experience
  • Experience in writing and managing grants
  • Experience with event planning and management

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Create a research portal that represents UW-Stout and the research conducted by the Q Endowed Chairs now and in the future. Collaborate with UW-Stout’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, to ensure the portal integrates and supports university-wide research goals.
  • Serve as a liaison and subject matter expert among internal and external stakeholder groups, collaborate across disciplines and functional areas, provide program information, and promote accomplishments and developments of the Q endowed chair and related research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Continuing Education and Conferences to create, coordinate, facilitate, and lead trainings and workshops for internal and external audiences, including the CTE Summit, to disseminate Q research developments and information, and raise the profile of related research conducted at UW-Stout.
  • Consult with the University Partnership Council when working with external stakeholders to align outreach efforts. `
  • Coordinate the daily activities and contracts related to the Q endowed chair.
  • Plan, develop, and implement processes and protocols to support the research aims of the Q Endowed Chair.
  • Prepare reports related to research activities.
  • Monitor program budget and approve expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
