Menomonie, Wis. – University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic students and staff members will play key roles in Murals in Menomonie, a citywide artistic event expected to involve hundreds of artists from around the world collaborating to create 15 public murals in and around Menomonie.
Two of the murals have particular relevance to UW-Stout Polytechnic and may be of interest to members of the media:

Hmong Story Cloth in Wilson Park, 800 Wilson Ave. This mural was designed by two UW-Stout Polytechnic students, graphic design & interactive media major Angelina Yang and interior design major Gao (Pretti) Zhong Thao. The mural was one of the largest vote-getters among community members.

UW-Stout Polytechnic Mural on the Administration Building (corner of Broadway and Main Street). A mural encompassing the 135-year history of UW-Stout Polytechnic and designed by California muralist Tom Seibert will take shape on the east side of the Administration Building facing Clock Tower Plaza. Chancellor Katherine Frank and other campus officials are expected to take part in the painting project between roughly 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, June 26.
