Members of the media and public are invited to three major on-campus events showcasing students’ research projects and creations in a wide range of areas, including game design, STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics & Management), and art and design:
Stout Game Expo (SGX) 2025: Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, 6-9 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Memorial Student Center on the UW-Stout campus. Visitors can play games — from cozy tabletop experiences to intense 3D races and multiplayer competitions — created by students in UW-Stout’s two game design and development programs. These undergraduate programs were ranked fifth in the Midwest earlier this year by Princeton Review.
STEMM Student Expo: Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, 1-3 p.m., Memorial Student Center. This expo is an end-of-semester showcase of class projects and research from UW-Stout’s College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics & Management (STEMM). Visitors will explore 300-plus students’ research in more than 100 projects across a dozen fields of study. The event is coordinated by students in the Hospitality Convention/Meeting Planning class.
SOAD Senior Show Fall 2025: Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, 6-9 p.m., Applied Arts Building (415 13th Ave. East, Menomonie). Join UW-Stout’s School of Art & Design (SOAD) for its biannual Senior Show night. Graduating seniors across all disciplines within SOAD will take over Micheels Hall and the Applied Arts building to display their works, from video production and graphic design to industrial and product design, interior design, studio art, animation and digital media, fashion design, and much more.
