Position – Tool and Die Maker

Job Location – Menomonie, WI

Starting Date – Fall 2025

Employment Term – Direct Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift (7:00am to 3:30pm, Mon-Fri OR 6am to 4:30pm Mon-Thurs)

Starting Pay – $50,000 to $75,000 Annual Salary

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – Minimum two years of on-the-job tool making experience

 

As a Tool Maker, you will design, build, and maintain injection molds using advanced CNC and EDM equipment. The role requires at least two years of hands-on experience and proficiency in 3D CAD software. Responsibilities

 

- Program and Operate CNC Machines – Utilize Mastercam/Surfcam to program and operate HAAS, Mori Seki, and Robodrill milling centers with 4th & 5th axis capabilities.

- Design, Build, and Maintain Tools – Construct, repair, and maintain injection molds, ensuring precision and functionality for production needs.

- Perform Tool Assembly and Fit-Up – Assemble tools with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring proper fit and alignment for optimal performance.

- Utilize EDM and Wire Cutting Equipment – Operate Charmilles Sinker EDMs and Sodick Wire EDM to manufacture complex tooling components.

- Work in a Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment – Collaborate with engineers and machinists while managing multiple projects under minimal supervision.

 

Qualifications 

 

- Minimum Two Years of On-the-Job Tool Making Experience – Hands-on experience in building, repairing, and maintaining tools, including fitting up and assembling molds.

- Knowledge of 3D CAD Software – Proficiency with Surfcam or Mastercam for programming and design work.

- Experience with CNC Machines and EDM Equipment – Familiarity with vertical mills, HAAS and Mori Seki lathes, and EDM sinker/wire machines.

- Strong Problem-Solving and Multi-tasking Abilities – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

- Excellent Organizational and Communication Skills – Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and maintain precise documentation.
