Key Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures safe and efficient operation of the plant and its associated equipment
- May work without direct supervision on shift operations
- Complies with environmental protection protocols and procedures
- Adheres to safety protocols and procedures
- Analyzes data and communicates recommendations on equipment and systems operations, both verbally and in written reports
- Maintains forms, logs, or reports
- Starts, stops, and adjusts equipment settings to maintain operational requirements
- Cleans and maintains work areas and equipment
- Makes regular inspections of plant equipment and prepares equipment malfunction reports
- Assists in the training and oversight of new employees in these and other safe and efficient plant operational procedures
- Assists with preventative and corrective maintenance as needed

Seeking a team member that is committed to the mission of the central heating plant to provide the entire campus with a constant supply of steam in the most efficient, reliable, and safest way possible.
Job summary: monitors, operates, adjusts, maintains, and repairs a variety of technical equipment for the campus central heating plant.

Compensation:
Minimum starting salary of $28.00, commensurate with qualifications, experience and available budget. A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Required Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of boiler operation.

Basic knowledge of valves, pumps, compressors, fans, and piping systems.

Mechanical aptitude including the use of common hand tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Boiler operation and maintenance experience.
