Business After Hours (BAH) Sponsor Requirements The Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present our BAH program in collaboration with Chamber Ambassadors and Chamber member sponsors. Review the following requirements prior to submitting your BAH Sponsorship Application. BAH Provides the opportunity for members to connect in a social setting, increasing their professional network in the business community. Allows Chamber member sponsor(s) to showcase their programs, services and products. Encourages members to promote their business through door prize donations. Held the third Monday of each month, 5:00 - 6:30 pm. Admission fee: $5 members, $7 non-members. BAH SPONSORSHIP ELIGIBILITY Member accounts must be current at application and time of event. Sponsors include host(s), venue, caterers, etc. Primary sponsors are encouraged to collaborate with other members to co-sponsor. Primary sponsor are to secure co-sponsor and submits the application. Primary sponsor is the key point of contact. The primary contact is to communicate to the co-sponsors. A maximum of 4 members may sponsor/co-sponsor; additional sponsors need Chamber CEO approval. Applications are to be submitted by 10/31/2018. Selection Process Sponsor selection decisions will be commented by 12/1/2018. Applicants not selected will be placed on a awaiting list in the event there is a cancellation. If the member does not host during 2018, the application may be carried forward to the following year. PLANNING TIPS Refreshments/Venue The sponsor is responsible to provide food and refreshments. Contact the Chamber to apply for a liquor license as appropriate. To avoid any issues consider co-sponsoring the event with a Chamber member who is licensed. Beverages may be sold for a fee, to be determined at sponsors' discretion. It is recommended that BAH be held at a place that can accommodate a minimum of 50 people and have ample parking. The hosting venue should have a liquor license and licensed bartender if fermented malt beverages are to be served/sold. Marketing The Chamber will promote the upcoming BAH. The primary sponsor is responsible for providing promotional details of BAH to the Chamber (firstname.lastname@example.org) one month prior to the event. A standard template will be used, all materials promoting BAH is to use the Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce logo. DAY OF / SET UP / REPRESENTATION Sponsor Provide two 6 or 8 foot tables at the venue entrance to be used for admission. Limit the number of tables/chairs for attendees to encourage moving freely through venue. Inform the Chamber if the sponsor does not have a microphone/public address system. Set out sponsor business literature, business cards, or a display of products/services available. This information can be featured at a separate table not to be combined with the two tables referenced above. Allowed to present (verbally, PowerPoint, etc.) products and services they provide. Encouraged to provide representatives from their business to greet people. Ambassadors Handle admissions; greet people and collect money. Encourage social interactions between attendees. Conduct door prize giveaway. Chamber Staff Provide name tags, pens, starter cash and BAH sign with admission amounts. Provide structured outline of announcements for CEO, Ambassador Chair. Ambassador and Chamber staff are available to assist you as you plan for BAH. Exceptions to the BAH Sponsorship Requirements and schedule need to be approved in writing by the CEO.
