Jim Fitzl will be speaking on Galileo and the 2009 IYA. Beaver Creek Reserve and Hobbs Observatory have been chosen by the Space Telescope Science Institute to be one of the sites for the national unveiling ceremony and display of a new multi-wavelength image. 2009 has been designated the International Year of Astronomy. To celebrate, NASA's Great Observatories are collaborating to produce a spectacular multi-wavelength view ofthe spiral galaxy Messier 101.
