Recipes for Parenting Success: Identifying Ingredients That Build Strong Parent-Child Relationships Cedarbrook Church will be sponsoring a free two-week parenting seminar on Wednesdays October 1st & 8th. Steve Siegle, Psy. D will facilitate the class. Participants will learn specifics about the four main parenting approaches and which one is best to parent from. Three questions that can revolutionize the relationship you have with your child will be revealed. Steve will also share techniques that will help parents instill values and increase self-esteem in their child, as well as the two most important things kids want from their parents. Steve will outline three pitfalls that parents commonly engage in and what to do instead, and more! Pastor Remy Diederich said that parenting support is an important part of the ministry at Cedarbrook? ?I think one of the key roles for the church today is to provide sound guidance for individuals and families who are trying to navigate a complex and busy culture. Parents need more support than ever today and so I?m very excited that Dr. Siegle has agreed to offer this seminar for us. I think parents will leave his seminar with some sound guidelines for parenting their children.? This seminar is free and open to the public and will be held from 6:30-8:00pm at the North Gate Office Building (1421 N. Broadway). Childcare is provided free of charge at the Cedarbrook Center in the mall with advance reservation. A free sandwich bar will be available for all who attend, beginning at 6:00pm.
