In a unique collaboration, the Chippewa Valley Watercolor Artists and the Beaver Creek Reserve Photography Club will present the exhibit ?Painting Through the Lens? at Beaver Creek Reserve from April 6 ? May 4 and at the Coffee Grounds Café in Eau Claire from Wednesday, May 4 to May 31. The show will then be moving to the Heyde Center in the fall. The exhibit pairs a photographer?s image with a watercolorist?s unique interpretation of that image. Over 60 pieces of work will be presented. Painters have been working for one year on this joint project.
An artists? reception is set for Sunday, April 17th from 1-4 p.m. at the Wise Nature Center. This reception is open to the public. The MJ Consort, recorder quintet will provide music. Ruth Lundblad will lead ?Painting with Ruth? for children who want to try their hand at watercolor. Members of both groups will be on hand to give painting and photography tips to interested viewers of the art.
