Join Beaver Creek naturalist and wildlife artist Jim Schwiebert and learn the basics of powercarving realistic fish and birds. Jim will have some of his carvings on hand and take you through the carving process from the beginning block of wood, using patterns, shaping, texturing, burning and scaling techniques, to painting and finishing the carved piece. No equipment is needed to purchase. This seminar is meant as an introduction for anyone interested in getting started in woodcarving and learning about the tools and techniques required to get going.
