John Hughes has created a movie genre all of his own by creating such classics as Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and so many more that helped shape more than one decade. Amongst those great films comes another memorable picture; The Breakfast Club. It is about five students from different social circles who are stuck at school for detention one Saturday and end up learning more than they expected. A prom queen, a jock, a delinquent, a brain, and a freak all come together to let down their guards and discover that they have more in common than they thought. The Breakfast Club features the regular Brat-Pack movie stars such as Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, and Ally Sheedy as well as the talents of Judd Nelson and Emilio Estevez. "In The Breakfast Club", Hughes has created a surprisingly enduring motion picture that is still effective 23 years after its theatrical debut (James Berardinelli, Reel Views). If you want to be inspired, have a good laugh, or just enjoy classic 80's cinema; The Breakfast Club is a film you don't want to miss.
