Join us for this amazing class with guest chef Susan Turgeson. Susan will demonstrate handkneading, the microproofing technique to speed the process of rising, and breadmaker use. Some breads that will be sampled include traditional white, overnight cinnamon rolls, country braid, and Reuben loaf. We will be preparing some delicious spreads to accompany these delicious breads. Susan has taught foods & nutrition courses at Menomonie High School \for 9 yrs & bread making is one of the most popular topics. She holds a bachelor's degree in family & consumer sciences education & a master's degree in home economics from UW-Stout. Adding to her many awards, Susan was just honored as the 2009 AAFCS National Teacher of the Year for her food science program. Previous awards include 2005 AAFCS New Achiever, 2005 Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year, and 2008 WAFCS Teacher of the Year. Susan and her family reside in Menomonie.
