The Middle School Optimist, Stout Student Optimist, and Menomonie Area Optimist Clubs, along with the Friends of the Red Cedar Trail and Hoffman Hills club, and many other volunteers, and the DNR, have spent hours developing a new Oak Savanna at Hoffman Hills Park. In that effort numerous trees have been cleared and stacks of huge piles of branches have been created, which we will burn on January 28th and February 25th. Bring ski's or snowshoes if desired.
All are welcome and families encouraged.
Bill Wiese will provide a brief ceremonial soltice tribute at 6:30 before the fire is lit.
Hot chocolate will be provided, bring your own marshmellows or hotdogs!
