Arbor Place Inc., Community Room, 4076 Kothlow Ave, Menomonie, WI 54751 A FREE presentation on the Art of Creative Movement by Babatunde Lea. Babatunde is Co-teaching In and Through the Arts (C.I.T.A.) program with Arts Integration Menomonie (A.I.M.). He is a professional musician and educator. His musical career started at a young age and progressed to him producing albums starting from 1979 through 2005. He teaches from an African perspective, including drumming, chanting, and dance. Babatunde has taught creative movement at home and abroad within the last 40 years. It is his experience and contention that dance is a very important component to one’s physical, mental & spiritual health. Babatunde brings creative dancing (free style) and the dances from the African diaspora to his students. The old African proverb: "If you can talk you can sing, if you can walk you can dance" is the foundation in which Babatunde's teaching is based. Come change the molecules in your existence to be thoroughly uplifted." This a FREE presentation brought to you by Arbor Place Inc through a grant from Wisconsin Arts Board. The 1st hour of the presentation will be for Professionals. The 2nd part of the presentation will be to any Community members. Be prepared to participate in some dancing and creative movement.
