The maple syrup season is short but sweet. Families and youth groups are invited to learn the basics of how to tap a maple tree before they head down to the maple grove to assist with tapping a tree of their choosing. Each group will decorate a tree marker with their own unique design to leave on their tree after tapping. The markers are designed to help families and groups find their tree again, as we strongly encourage participants to come back during the sap run and see how their tree is doing. Participants will also get a chance to visit the sugar shack where the syrup is made and before leaving, taste an ice cream treat featuring some of last season's syrup. After the season is complete, families and groups will be able to stop back at the Reserve and pick-up their own 8 oz bottle of syrup made with sap from their tree and their photo of their tapping adventure.
