The maple syrup season is short but sweet. After sampling some of last year?s syrup on their French toast, families are invited tap their own tree. We will start with a short program to learn the basics of making maple syrup and how to identify a maple tree. Each family group will decorate a tree marker with their own unique design to leave on their tree after tapping. The markers are designed to help families find their tree again; as we strongly encourage participants to come back during the sap run and see how their tree is doing. Participants will also get a chance to visit the sugar shack where the syrup is made. After the season is complete, families and groups will be able to stop back at the Reserve and pick-up their own 8 oz. bottle of syrup made with sap from their tree and their photo of their tapping adventure. Registration and full payment required by March. 16.
