The Waterfront Bar and Grill in collaboration with The Bridge to Hope and University of Wisconsin-Stout students will be sponsoring the 8th Annual Hope for the Holidays Benefit on December 8th 2012. This benefit has been organized by the students in Dr. Susan Wolfgram’s Abuse and the Family class for their Social Action Project. The Bridge to Hope provides vital services to our community supporting victims and their families at a time when they are the most vulnerable. However, funding continues to be cut for these needed services. Help us in raising funds in the ongoing fight against domestic violence and sexual assault.
Everyone is impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault either directly or indirectly, but many do not realize it. Now is the time to change that. Our goal this year is to teach men, youth, women—everyone within our communities—how to recognize domestic violence and offer support to speak openly about it. This year we are joining others in saying
NO MORE.
We would like to invite all campus and community members to attend this important event. The actual event begins at 7pm--Bingo will start at 7:15pm and raffle prizes will begin around 9:15pm. The band The Color Pharmacy (Indie Rock genre) will begin around 10pm. Throughout the night there will be domestic violence awareness speakers and raffle prizes.
Cover charge is $3 with one free raffle ticket and additional raffle tickets @ $2.
