Strong nonprofit boards do not happen by accident. This Coffee & Commerce session provides practical guidance on board roles, responsibilities, and decision making to help board members lead with purpose and confidence.
Attendees will gain clear tools, shared insights, and real-world guidance to support effective governance while connecting with others serving in nonprofit leadership roles.
What to Expect:
- A clear understanding of where board governance ends and day to day operations begin
- Guidance on using a Skills and Diversity Matrix to identify board gaps and recruitment needs
- Practical insight on how to contribute effectively during the first 90 days of board service
- A breakdown of the legal duties of Care, Loyalty, and Obedience and what they mean in practice
