New Richmond – State Representative Rob Stafsholt (R-New Richmond) has solidified two meetings for Wisconsin Broadband Director, Angie Dickison, to come up and listen to local residents’ and officials’ concerns on rural broadband. The two sessions will be on Tuesday, June 26th. The first is at 10:30am at the Town of Stanton, Dunn County which is located at E1940 890th Avenue in Knapp. The second session will be at 2pm at the Star Prairie Town Hall which is located at 2118 Cook Drive in Somerset.
"One of the things I have worked on since taking office is making sure that other decision makers in Madison are aware of the needs and wants up here in our area,” said Stafsholt, “That is not always easy. I grow tired of our students and businesses suffering due to lack of connectivity. Improving broadband is one of my top priorities, and I look forward to discussing broadband strategy and program development with Angie.”
Rep. Rob Stafsholt represents the 29th Assembly District which includes much of the eastern portion of St. Croix County and the western portion of Dunn County – including Menomonie, Wilson, Glenwood City, Knapp, Woodville, Baldwin, Hammond, New Richmond, Deer Park, and Boyceville. These listening sessions will provide members of the community the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas with Rep. Stafsholt and Angie in person and close to home rather than going to Madison. The times and locations are listed below:
Stafsholt also added, "Whether you are a citizen, town board member, city official, or if you are in my district or not, please come share your ideas and concerns so Madison hears from us!"
