Eau Claire, WI – As students head back to school, Junior Achievement (JA) volunteers are ramping up to help them prepare for the future. The Believe in Possibilities Campaign kicks off this month to raise funds for JA learning experiences for students in the Northwest Wisconsin Area. The fundraising goal for the Northwest Wisconsin Region is to raise $370,000 by the end of December.
The mission of Junior Achievement is to inspire and prepare students to succeed. Throughout the school year, local JA volunteers help young people discover what’s possible by helping them connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom. JA lessons show students it’s possible to invest in their future, gain a better understanding of how the world works, and pursue their dreams.
During the 2023-24 school year, JA of Wisconsin reached 123,249 Wisconsin students, 14,671 of them in northwest Wisconsin. The Northwest Wisconsin Area covers the counties of Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempeleau, and Washburn.
Junior Achievement recruits and trains community volunteers to deliver over 100 hands-on, age-appropriate programs to young people between 5 and 25. All Junior Achievement learning experiences teach students the path to success, increase their self-confidence, and help them develop the skills needed to chart a successful future.
