In an effort to promote April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), the Waterfront Bar and Grill and the Raw Deal will be sponsoring the 1st annual “Rockin’ for Hope” Benefit on April 13th, 2013 and the Take Back the Night event on April 20th, 2013. These events have been organized by the students in Dr. Susan Wolfgram’s Abuse and the Family class for their Social Action Project in collaboration with The Bridge to Hope and supported by local businesses. The Bridge to Hope aims to empower individuals affected by violence and provide them with vital services and support so that these individuals and families can start a new life free from violence. However, funding continues to be cut for these needed services. Help us in raising funds in the ongoing fight against domestic violence and sexual assault.
The Rockin’ for Hope Benefit on April 13th begins at 7pm —Bingo and a silent auction will begin at 7:30pm. The band Irie Sol (Alternative) will begin around 10pm. Cover charge is $5, with 1 free drink ticket included
