Tanglewood Greens hires new General Manager and Head Golf Professionial

Menomonie, WI - P.G.A. Golf Professional Jim Maguire was recently hired as the General Manager and Head Golf Professional at Tanglewood Greens in Menomonie, WI.  He was previously in the same capacity at Prairie du Chien Country Club in Prairie du Chien, WI.
 
Maguire has been a member of the P.G.A. of America since 1997, and his ties to the Chippewa Valley run deep.  He served as the Head Men’s Golf Coach at the NCAA Division III, University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire from 2005-2011.  During his six years as Head Coach, the “Blugolds” participated in the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship four times.
 
Maguire coached three All-Americans and was named the Golf Coaches Association of America – Eaton Golf Pride Midwest Region Coach of the Year in 2010.  He was also the Wisconsin Assistant Golf Professional Match Play Champion in 1992 and CVGA Tournament of Champions winner 1991 while serving as the First Assistant Golf Professional at Eau Claire Golf and Country Club. 
 
As a collegiate player himself (University of Wisconsin – Stout – 1986-1989) he was a four-year Varsity letter winner, named All-Conference and All-District in 1988-1989 and was a member of three Wisconsin State University Conference Championship / NAIA District Championship teams.
 
Maguire brings over 25 years of experience in all areas of the golf industry to his new position at Tanglewood Greens.  His plans are to revitalize golf in the Menomonie community through active lesson programs for golfers of all skill levels and to offer fun and unique golf and social events for everyone to enjoy.  He is happily married to his wife (and fellow UW-Stout Graduate) Kim (18 years) and has 2 children, Mackenzie (16) and Michael (15).
