Watch for your 2019 Dunn County Solid Waste Permit!
December 13, 2018
The 2019 Dunn County Solid Waste Permits are in the process of being mailed to residents of participating municipalities over the next two weeks and should be received by December 31, 2018. Landlords/renters will need to contact the division at 715-232-4017 or firstname.lastname@example.org to request a permit for rentals. The Solid Waste & Recycling Division would like to remind residents of participating municipalities that the 2019 Solid Waste Permits must be displayed in your vehicle by Wednesday, January 2, 2019. If the permit is not displayed, residents will be charged $3 per bag or barrel of household trash. This is to help protect the municipalities who pay a per capita fee for their residents to participate in the Dunn County Solid Waste & Recycling Program. Solid Waste Permits are needed when disposing of household trash only. Household trash is defined as standard items that are disposed of inside a home on a regularly occurring basis. Items such as carpeting, flooring, cabinetry, dry wall, toilets and lumber fall into the category of construction and demolition wastes and will incur a fee. An updated list of current fees is listed on the division’s website at www.co.dunn.wi.us/swr_fees. Residents who live in non-participating municipalities, such as the City of Menomonie, the Towns of Hay River, Sand Creek, Stanton, and Eau Galle, or the Village of Knapp, may either purchase an annual permit for $100 (pro-rated throughout the year); or pay $3 for each bag or barrel of household trash. Please contact the Dunn County Solid Waste & Recycling Office if you have not received your 2019 Solid Waste Permit by December 31, 2018, or if you are interested in purchasing a permit, at 715-232-4017 or by email at email@example.com. # # # # Image Caption: 2019 Dunn County Solid Waste Permits must be displayed by Wednesday, January 2, 2019 to avoid a $3 fee per bag or barrel of household trash.
