Junior Achievement to Hold Annual JA Career Fair for Area Youth

Eau Claire, WI – More than 150 area middle and high school students will explore career options and ask professionals in the hospitality, tourism and health care professions questions about their jobs and what it’s like to work in these fields. The career fair takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, April 5 at the Metropolis Resort and Conference Center from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. and from noon to1:30 p.m. at Chippewa Valley Technical College Health Occupation Facility and the Energy Education Center.
Marshfield Clinic is sponsoring the 7th annual JA Career Fair. Junior Achievement is pleased to be partnering with Metropolis Resort and Conference Center and CVTC again this year. Guest speakers at tomorrow’s event include Marshfield Clinic General Surgeon Dr. Tim Pitchford and Katie Walk - Senior District Manager from Kelly Services. Pitchford and Walk will speak to the students about their experiences in their respective industries.
Junior Achievement Career Fair is made possible by partnerships with supporting businesses in the community. Through partnerships with area businesses, JA is proud to deliver this unique experience to middle and high school students to help prepare them for their future.
Students from six area school districts are participating. They include, Bruce, Chippewa Falls, Whitehall, Independence, Mondovi and Colfax.
