Leedstone is actively seeking to add a full-time Installation and Service Technician to our Equipment Team at our Menomonie, Wisconsin location. As an Installation and Service Technician, you will assist in the installation and service of milk harvesting equipment, including robotic milking systems. Our ideal candidate has a good understanding of and experience in plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, welding, and/or general equipment maintenance. This individual should have a strong work ethic, and be self-motivated, honest, and dependable. Job training is provided and paid for by Leedstone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in installation and service of robotic milking equipment and conventional dairy equipment.
- Perform miscellaneous repairs as necessary.
- Regular travel to customer dairy farms required (company vehicle provided).
- Included in on-call schedule rotation required.
Education/Experience/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- HVAC and/or welding experience or certification preferred but not required.
- Understanding of dairy equipment such as parlors, robotic milking systems, etc. preferred but not required.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn technology.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a variety of temperatures indoors and outdoors.
- Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card.
