The University of Wisconsin-Stout choirs, under the direction of Patrick Liebergen, of UW-Stout's speech, language, theatre and music department, will present their annual Holiday Choral Concert.
The Symphonic Singers will begin the concert with Gregorian Chant and African selections, featuring "Hope for Resolution," accompanied by Joy Becker at the piano and harpist Ashley Webbe. "Omnia Sol" by z. Randall Stroope, a movement from Pergolesi's Magnificant, and "Sing Noel" featuring soloists Doug Stevens and Lacey Seefelt, will also be performed.
Soloists Jonathan Sollie, Slex Sebesta and Doug Stevens will be the featured soloists in the Vocal Jazz Ensemble's performance of a variety of holiday arrangements. Selections will include "Let It Ring, Let It Swing, Let It Snow," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Jingle Bells."
The Symphonic Singers will include the concert by singing Patrick Liebergen's "Christmas Bell Celebration," G. F. Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" and Fred Bock's arrangement of "Peace, Peace."
