Sleep devprivation can cause serious health effects. Not getting enough sleep impairs our abiltiy to think and handle stress, maintain a healthy immune system and moderate our emotions. Over time, chronic lack of sleep can trigger the development of serious condtions, including heart disease, depression and hypertension.
Kara Bayerl, director of RCMC's Sleep Center, will outline actions you can take to improve your sleep hygiene for better sleep quality.
