Red Cedar Medical Center – Mayo Health System invites you to register for a Mind body skills group that will meet on Thursdays, Jan. 17 through Feb. 21, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., at Red Cedar Medical Center in Glenwood City.
Kathleen Farah, M.D., family medicine, Red Cedar Medical Center, will help participants explore a variety of self-help techniques and focus on the relationship between emotional, mental, social, spiritual and physical health. Dr. Farah has completed training through the Center of Mind and Body Medicine in Washington, D.C. She also has personal experience in yoga, meditation and mindfulness as a complement to her medical training.
This group will consist of seven to nine members and will meet consecutively for six weeks. Session topics will be body and self-awareness, relaxation, meditation, imagery, music, exercise, simple biofeedback and self-hypnosis techniques.
