Operation Prom Dress is The Bridge to Hope’s kick-off event for Sexual Assault Awareness Month in collaboration with UW-Stout students’ social action project in Dr. Susan Wolfgram’s Abuse & the Family class. Evening highlights include a very large selection of gorgeous prom dresses at affordable prices ranging from $15.00 up to $60.00, raffle prizes, along with music, hair and makeup consultations, and treats. All proceeds will be donated to The Bridge to Hope, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Crisis and Prevention Center to help benefit their free and confidential services for victims of domestic and sexual violence in Dunn and Pepin Counties.
The month of April has been designated as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence. There will also be educational material provided for girls to have a safe, violence-free, and memorable prom night.
