A dedication of the Menomonie Habitat for Humanity home site at 1721 2nd Ave SE (corner of 2nd Ave SE and 18th St.), will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 1 PM. In addition to the dedication, Habitat for Humanity will honor a number of local businesses and churches that have already donated services or have provided significant discounted products for the build. The businesses/community groups to date that have partnered with the Dunn County build include: Shackleton Tree Service, Cedar Corporation, the Alliance Church of Menomonie, First Congregational, United Church of Christ, Immanuel Baptist Church, Menomonie High School, and Westconsin Credit Union.
The Menomonie Habitat for Humanity House Project is spearheaded by the Menomonie First Congregational United Church of Christ, as part of its 150 year celebration, in cooperation with other area churches, groups, and individuals.
