More than any other wild animal, the beaver is responsible for helping shape the development of the Midwest. Valued by Europeans, the beaver was trapped by settlers seeking their pelts. Join us for a fascinating program on this amazing animal. We?ll learn not only about the biology and special adaptations of the beaver but its role in human history. For those interested, we?ll leave the Reserve after the presentation and head to a local beaver dam to take a first-hand look at their engineering skills. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
