To commemorate October as Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, students from Stout in collaboration with Stout's Campus Violence Prevention Program and the Bridge to Hope are sponsoring an event to raise awareness of domestic abuse. The event will begin at the Stout's Clock Tower with a silent walk ending at the Menomonie Public Library where there will be live music and several short presentations. Donations will be accepted and procedes will be donated to the Bridge. Attendees are asked to wear purple to show support to survivors of domestic abuse, and purple and white glow sticks and purple ribbons will be provided as well.
