Carrie Nelson, M.D., internal medicine physician at Red Cedar Medical Center, will present a lecture titled ?Bone Up on Osteoporosis? at the second of the fall 2009 Optimal Aging lecture series on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Red Cedar Medical Center?Mayo Health System in Menomonie. Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones become fragile with age. Many adults do not realize they have osteoporosis until a bone breaks. Learn about the latest treatment options, prevention tips, appropriate screening and home safety tips. The talk is free and will be held in the Education Center. A light lunch will be provided.
