SUMMARY:Red Cedar Medical Center hosts Women's Circle of Care Event
DESCRIPTION:Area women are invited to an evening Women's Circle of Care event "It's Your Time" on Thursday\, May 5.  The event is hosted by Red Cedar Medical Center-Mayo Health System.\n\n\n\nKathy Farah\, M.D.\, family medicine\, Red Cedar Medical Center\, will present "Emotional Hunger:  Understanding Your Relationship with Food."  Participants will learn about stress eating and how it attributes to weight gain\, especially the belly fat that is dangerous to ones health.  Dr. Farah will demonstrate mind-body skills to enhance awareness of mindless eating and provide steps to a healthier relationship with food.\n\n\n\nSteve Siegle\, Psy.D.\, psychotherapist\, Red Cedar Medical Center\, will present "Mind Garden:  Approaches to Decrease Stress and Keep the Weeds Out."  This popular presentation will help refresh and renew the spirit.  Siegle will explain ways to plant more positive "seeds" and gather coping tools to better manage anxiety\, worry and stress.\n\n\n\nRegister by May 2 (Required).  Please call if you must cancel.  Bring a non-perishable food item for the local food pantry (optional).
