DESCRIPTION:Discover the Ice Age Trail at its colorful best on Saturday morning\, Oct. 6\, at the "Parade of Colors Fall Hike" at the Chippewa Moraine Ice Age Reserve near New Auburn\, WI\n\n	\n\n	Local Ice Age Trail chapter members will provide trail information\, shuttle services\, and refreshments. There is no charge for the event\; donations are welcome.\n\n	\n\n	The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is one of only eleven national scenic trails in the U.S. The local Chippewa Moraine segment is one part of this national trail that follows th... \n	\n		e terminal moraine of the last glacier for over 1000 miles from the St. Croix River to the shores of Green Bay.\n\n		\n\n		Walkers may register anytime between 9 and 11 a.m. at the Obey Interpretive Center at the Chippewa Moraine\, located 7 miles east of New Auburn on County Hwy. M\, (1.9 miles east of Hwy. 40).\n\n		\n\n		Walkers will be shuttled to the starting point of their choice to enable hikes of various lengths from 1 to 6 miles. The 6 mile route passes 21 sparkling glacial lakes on the way to the Interpretive Center.\n\n		\n\n		Afterwards\, enjoy snacks and tour the Interpretive Center\, with its exhibits and a variety of activities for children.\n\n		\n\n		The Chippewa Moraine Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance sponsors the annual event to celebrate\, enjoy\, and increase awareness of the Ice Age Trail.
