DESCRIPTION:This 6 session class (March 23\, 30\, April 6\, 13\, 20\, 27\, 2011) is offered 3 times a year to all ages and levels. Group class builds basic hand strengths needed to play a guitar\, with emphasis on learning to play by ear and with others by understanding basic music theory. Work on building a chord vocabulary and improving methods of study at all levels. Students must bring own acoustic electric guitar\, or bass and a recording of one song of their choice to analyze and learn to play using the principles taught in the class.  Instructor is Tracy Lea Landis who has been teaching beginning guitar\, music theory\, and performance art in group classes and private lessons in Menomonie since 1991.
