The Raw Deal in downtown Menomonie is co-hosting a Community Open Mic with the Minneapolis based singer/song-writer\, Heatherlyn. \n\n \n\n Heatherlyn and Jason (curator/impresario) are partners in the art of life and the art of community building: "Our passion is to partner with communities through the music to co-create beautiful experience\, meaningful connection as together\, sharing the enlivening\, enriching gifts of the arts.\n\n \n\n In hosting open mics together\, we've seen people perform for their very first time. We've seen veteran songsters take risks and try something new. We've seen talented artists connect and create collaborative works together.\n\n \n\n Our aim is to see everyone feel at home and hopefully\, together we can create a safe place for people to share their voice - spoken word\, poetry\, a song\, a dance\, a magic trick or just a little magic of their own making.\n\n \n\n With the shared value of community and the arts\, we are thrilled to team up with Raw Deal. They've got beautiful nourishing food for the body and we've got beautiful\, nourishing music - food for the spirit.
