Who are the Menomonie Young Professionals?
Mission: To grow young professionals’ involvement and influence in shaping and highlighting the Greater Menomonie Area as an area that is attractive to young, diverse talent. A community influenced by young professionals is a community that can attract and retain them. The Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce believes that the more informed, involved, and networked our young professionals are, the more influence they will have on what the Menomonie area is and what it becomes.
Who can participate?
The Menomonie Area Young Professionals support the growth and development of 18–39-year-olds living or working in the Menomonie area. Through professional development, philanthropic or social activities, participants develop a network of colleagues sure to benefit them for years to come.

How do young professionals participate?
The Menomonie Area Young Professionals offers multiple ways to be involved. The first opportunity is to attend one of the Young Professionals events. We encourage you to bring your colleagues! The second opportunity is to serve on the steering committee which meets monthly and plans all of the Young Professionals events.

Upcoming Opportunity to Support Menomonie Young Professionals
There is still an opportunity to support the Menomonie Young Professionals in 2021 at our upcoming Amazing Race event on October 28.
Participants race through Menomonie by following clues given at each participating location.
The first team to make it to all the checkpoints, complete the tasks and arrive at the final location will win a prize and bragging rights.

Our Chamber and Visitor Center office has space available for you to display brochures (trifold size) and business cards. If you are interested in taking advantage of this space please drop off information or place in the mail.

At the regular Menomonie City Council meeting on July 19th the council moved to amend title 3-3-5E Class “A” beer and “Class A” liquor license quota for the City of Menomonie, opening up 5 additional Class “A” liquor licenses (specific to wine) and 7 additional Class “A” beer license. There were multiple parties who spoke in favor of the increased quota, explaining the benefit to local businesses and area tourism. During the meeting, Chamber CEO Ashley DeMuth shared that membership has continuously expressed a need for more licenses to become available. The Chamber has provided feedback to the Council for more than a year, asking them to tune into the business community’s needs. Eggs & Issues: The State of Public Higher Education
Friday, August 20, 7:00-8:30 a.m.
Location: Pablo Center at the Confluence
Join us for a discussion with the leaders of the Chippewa Valley's public institutions of higher education: Chippewa Valley Technical College President Sunem Beaton-Garcia, UW-Stout Chancellor Katherine Frank, and UW-Eau Claire Chancellor James Schmidt. We'll look at what we've learned over the past year, what a "normal" fall will look like on campus this year, and the challenges and opportunities facing higher education in our region.
Eggs & Issues registration includes a hot breakfast. The Pablo Center requires masks in the lobby and common areas, but vaccinated individuals may remove their masks in the meeting room.
The Eggs & Issues Series is a Chamber Business Advocacy initiative. Investors include: Partner level - Xcel Energy; Advocate level - Miron Construction; Supporter level - Banbury Place/Cigan Properties, Eau Claire Energy Cooperative and HSHS Sacred Heart and St. Josephs' hospitals.
