Julie Kahl and Tim Vaughan Appointed to Junior Achievement Northwest District Board of Directors
Eau Claire, WI –Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Inc, Northwest District is pleased to announce two new board members joining its Board of Directors.
Julie Kahl is an Office Supervisor with WESTconsin Credit Union. She has the pleasure of working in the Menomonie High School WESTconsin Credit Union office. Her passion for helping members achieve financial success is shared through interacting and teaching financial literacy with students and members. Julie graduated from Dodgeland High School in Juneau, WI and she has completed Supervisory Management I, II and III at UW Eau Claire.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to be a member of the Junior Achievement Board of Directors. I look forward to working with others to enhance the financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship with our area youth. I have taught JA classes in the past and have witnessed the impact that Junior Achievement programming has on our youth. I am thrilled to build lasting relationships through JA,” said Julie.
Julie has 13 years of leadership experience and is a graduate of the 2016 Leadership Menomonie class and resides in Menomonie. She has a son attending University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Dr. Tim Vaughan is also joining the JA Board of Directors. Tim is the interim Dean of the College of Business at UW-Eau Claire. He earned his B.A. in Economics with minors in Math and Computer Science from the University of Northern Iowa, and his Ph.D. in Operations Research from University of Iowa. He has held faculty positions at Louisiana State University, University of Northern Iowa, Northern Illinois University, and University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. Since moving to Eau Claire in 1997, he has served as chair of the Management and Marketing Department and Associate Dean of the College of Business. Dr. Vaughan has published original research articles in a variety of areas including production scheduling, quality control methods, statistical methods, and computer simulation. Tim has four children, and had the pleasure of teaching Junior Achievement during their time at Meadowview Elementary in Eau Claire.
