Proceeds from the 2016 Charity Classic are being donated by the Royal Credit Union Foundation to benefit Beaver Creek Reserve (BCR) in Fall Creek, WI. This is the second of a two-year, $50,000 commitment to support the professional remodel of the Discovery Room in the BCR nature center.  The Royal Credit Union Foundation donation is funding the remodel of the Discover the Deep Woods exhibit.

BCR features more than 400 acres of diverse habitat including upland woods, river bottom forests, wetlands and savannah areas. In addition to the nature center, BCR features a citizen science center, butterfly house, observatory, youth camp, obstacle course, maple sugar shack, nature store, field research station, and a charter science school. More than 50,000 people visit Beaver Creek Reserve annually.
The Charity Classic has been held annually since 1994, with the proceeds each year going to different charities.  Typically held the last Saturday in June, organizers of the event moved the 2016 date to October 8 due to construction of the parking ramp near Royal’s Corporate Center on Riverfront Terrace. In order to provide the comfort and convenience race participants are used to experiencing at the event, Royal decided to delay the race a few months to allow for construction to be completed on the facility. Parking will be available in the parking ramp on the North side of the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center and the Municipal Parking Ramp between Farwell and Barstow Streets.
