Dunn County Humane Society Teams up with Kare 11 to Host Second Annual Pet Adoption Drive – Clear the Shelters
Menomonie, WI – DUNN COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY today announced that it has teamed up with KARE 11 to host NBCUniversal owned television stations’ Clear the Shelters second annual nationwide pet adoption drive. During the event, DCHS will be offering the public reduced adoption fees on all applications received on Saturday, July 23, as part of the nationwide Clear the Shelters initiative that seeks to find new homes for homeless pets.
DCHS is excited to be participating in this years’ Clear the Shelters event. Hours for the event are 10 am to 5 pm in Menomonie at 302 Brickyard Road. Applications received during this event will receive a discounted adoption fee on approval (even if the adoption is not completed the day of the event). Cat adoption fees will be reduced to $50 and dog adoption fees will be reduced to $75 (not valid with any other discount).
This event began in 2015, resulting in nearly 20,000 pets finding new homes through an unprecedented partnership between the NBCUniversal owned television stations and hundreds of animal shelters located all across the country and in Puerto Rico. The nationwide day of action literally emptied dozens of animal shelters across the country and inspired local communities to take action and open their homes to animals in need.
