Menomonie, WI – The West Central Workforce Development Board and the County Boards’ Consortium are pleased to announce their appointment of Jon Menz to be the Board's Executive Director. Menz will provide leadership and support to ensure that the Workforce Development Board and the County Boards’ Consortium achieve their policy governance, planning, oversight and grant recipient responsibilities for the West Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Area. “I look forward to serving our nine-county regions businesses, residents and job seekers, and am grateful for this opportunity to contribute to developing our region's workforce development at this critical time,” said Menz.
For the past six years, Menz served as the Business Services Manager for Workforce Resource Inc. and was the Director for Manufacturing Works/Gold Collar Careers, a volunteer organization to promote advanced manufacturing as a career option in west central and northwest Wisconsin.
The West Central Workforce Development Board is a private, non-profit organization comprised of leaders from business, education and training, labor, community-based organizations and economic development agencies that serve as one of Wisconsin’s eleven regional Boards. Appointed by the County Boards’ Consortium, the Board’s mission is to provide leadership to align the needs of a diverse workforce with the needs of business for a strong, sustainable regional economy.
